Cedar Strip

Cedar strip boats were produced in large numbers in the upper midwest. They are constructed from narrow strips of cedar attached to ribs of white oak. The Guide Boat was a type used by many fishing guides.

This is a 1958 Sea King 14' runabout owned by a client. It is another example of cedar strip construction.
